We have a current opportunity for a Account Supervisor, PR on a permanent basis.
This company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Supervisor with a strong background in public relations and biotech media relations. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a PR agency and will play a crucial role in managing and executing strategic communication plans for our biotech clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management: Lead and manage client accounts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality PR services that meet client objectives and expectations.
- Media Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with biotech media, including journalists, editors, and influencers. Secure media coverage and manage media inquiries.
- Strategic Planning: Create and implement strategic PR plans, including media outreach, press releases, and crisis communication strategies.
- Content Development: Draft and edit press materials, including press releases, media pitches, and bylined articles.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure professional growth and project success.
- Reporting: Monitor and report on media coverage, PR campaign effectiveness, and client satisfaction. Provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, digital, and creative departments, to ensure integrated communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of six years of experience in a public relations agency, with a significant focus on biotech media relations.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven track record of securing media placements in top-tier biotech and healthcare publications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage with diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic PR plans that align with client goals and industry trends.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment with at least two days per week in the San Francisco office.
