My client has a rich history, established 125 years ago and to date is the preferred global partner to the pharmaceutical, biotech and nutrition markets. They currently hold one of the largest bio manufacturing sites and are currently investing billions into business development, this is why they are looking to grow their team of dedicated, expert individuals. I am currently on the search for the ideal candidate to fill the position of Associate Director, business development EMEA. This role will be focused on generating new business across their Applied Protein Services, Mammalian, Microbial and Drug Product service offerings as well as developing and executing a territory plan.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for generating new business from new customers through a high level of customer contact and extensive networking activities.
Demonstrate strategic business awareness of the market and customers in order to differentiate from the competition
Effectively promote current technical capabilities and emerging new technologies as they become available
Work with marketing, account managers and product development to develop strategies and a territory plan to ensure their position as the leading solutions provider.
Identify market trends, assesses market potential and develop strategies to grow market share using data from the customer base / market
Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders
Provide timely, industry leading customer support, with a use of internal resources when necessary
Key requirements:
Master's degree in Life Science's or Engineering - PhD and/or MBA, Biology, Biochemistry, or related Technical degree
Highly experienced in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech or CDMO space
Proven track record in delivering year on year business targets for complex high value deals
Strong understanding of drug development and commercialisation processes
Strong technical understanding of drug substance and drug product manufacturing processes
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Creative, adaptable, capable of self-motivation and independence
Customer facing attitude, the ability to build relationships based on trust and long term commit
