Title: Associate Director, Neuroscience Business Analytics
Overview:
A world-leading, top 10 global pharmaceutical company is looking for an Associate Director, Business Insights and Analytics for the neuroscience division. This role will lead a diagnostic team that provides consultative thought partnership to identify and analyze actionable trends for strategic and tactical implications while working in partnership with the Analytics & Insights team. The ideal candidate is someone who can be an active, collaborative leader of a cross-functional team that proactively identifies and analyzes market dynamics leveraging a variety of secondary datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads team in completing diagnostic analytics for projects requiring synthesis across multiple Analytics & Insights teams including Decision & Predictive Analytics
- Anticipates the analytical needs of the team and provides direction to team to deliver more impactful insights and recommendations through diagnostic analytics
- Establishes roadmaps to continuously improve diagnostic business case analytics from capabilities, efficiencies, and effectiveness
- Leads team to guarantee execution of timely, high quality analysis and recommendations to therapeutic area and brand processes including: commercial planning, forecasting, pre-launch, and launch planning
- Provide assistance for those decisions in discussions with senior executives
- Coaches team in effective consultative approach with Business Insights team to understand brand objectives, align analyses to the key questions, and support development of synthesized insights
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree OR advanced degree in an analytical field such as marketing analytics, business analytics, statistics, operations research, computer science, industrial engineering, economics, math, etc.
- For BA: 7+ years of quantitative analytical experience
- For Advanced Degree: 5+ years of quantitative analytical experience
- Background in statistical languages/tools, programming, and machine learning (e.g. R, Python, SAS, Dataiku, Databricks)
- Background in BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView and/or Power BI
- Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of data sources within the pharmaceutical data ecosystem
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years pharmaceutical analytics experience
- 3+ years of progressive people and project management experience
- Experience in specialty and rare disease analytics
