The Associate Medical Director (AMD) is responsible for providing scientific and medical expertise. The AMD will work closely with account teams and clients to develop and execute scientific strategies that effectively communicate the benefits and value of pharmaceutical products to various stakeholders. The AMD also serves as a liaison between the agency and the healthcare industry, and may be involved in the development of scientific content for various mediums such as publications, symposia, and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities of the Associate Medical Director:
- Provide scientific and medical expertise for the agency
- Work closely with account teams and clients to develop and execute scientific strategies
- Effectively communicate the benefits and value of pharmaceutical products to various stakeholders
- Serve as a liaison between the agency and the healthcare industry
- Develop scientific content for various mediums such as publications, symposia, and digital platforms
- Review and approve scientific content for accuracy and compliance
- Participate in new business development and pitches
- Attend and participate in relevant industry conferences and events
- Mentor and train junior team members
Ideal Associate Medical Director would have the following qualifications:
- PhD, MD, or PharmD degree from an accredited institution
- At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including experience in healthcare communications or medical affairs
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Knowledge of current scientific, medical and healthcare trends and technologies
- Experience in mentoring and training junior team members is a plus
