A top 10 pharmaceutical company is looking for an individual with a background in immunology to investigate and achieve drug-free remission or cure HIV infection.
Responsibilities:
- Design and perform cell-based immunology/virology assays
- Evaluate new targets and approaches for curing HIV
- Understand latent HIV reservoir in experimental and clinical settings
- Interpret results and proactively troubleshoot technical challenges
- Recommend solutions based on literature searches and personal observations
- Work in a collaborative and interactive multi-disciplinary scientific setting
Essential Duties:
- Plan/execute experiments in support of project goals
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding of project goals and methodology
- Work with minimal supervision on projects of moderate complexity and scope
- Interpret data and draw conclusions in order to present results of work
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Immunology, Microbiology, or other related life science field
- 9+ years relevant experience
- Experience with at least one of the following techniques:
ELISA
qPCR
RNA/DNA isolation
immune cell functional assays
