Job Title: Automotive Cybersecurity Expert

A Prominent Automotive Cybersecurity Company is seeking a Senior Consultant with specialized expertise in Automotive Cybersecurity. This position entails overseeing audits and certification procedures for vehicles and manufacturers within the automotive domain. We provide expert support to aid original equipment manufacturers and producers of automotive components and systems in navigating complex obstacles and creating a strong foundation for automotive cybersecurity standards and optimal approaches. Harnessing our extensive knowledge and proficiency in cybersecurity, we join forces with the wider automotive industry supply chain to deploy efficient cybersecurity protocols.
Your Tasks:
- Oversee and conduct reviews or audits of cybersecurity work products and procedures for clients aiming to meet compliance standards in the realm of cybersecurity and related domains, including ISO/SAE 21434, ISO FDIS 24089, UNECE WP.29 R155 and R156, and other equivalent standards pertinent to software and systems engineering and secure development lifecycle.
- Apply established methodologies and frameworks relevant to cybersecurity and related areas to lead evaluations or audits of cybersecurity scenarios for intricate software-intensive systems.
- Lead client initiatives by engaging regularly with clients in technical program meetings and project assessments. Address client concerns and resolve issues to provide authoritative technical guidance and leadership to clients regarding cybersecurity and associated technical aspects. Some projects may require travel to client sites and other company locations.
- Observe or execute security and software update tests on vehicles.
- Lead comprehensive training sessions on topics relevant to cybersecurity and related fields, including ISO/SAE 21434, ISO FDIS 24089 R155/R156, and similar standards.
- Take charge of business development activities, defining Scope of Work (SOWs), and presenting budget estimates for client proposal development.
- Contribute to mentoring and nurturing junior-level engineering staff.
Your Qualifications:
- Proficiency in automotive and/or embedded systems, particularly in Software/Hardware.
- Experience in conducting threat analyses, risk assessments, and/or vulnerability evaluations.
- Two years of experience in the automotive or comparable sectors, with a specific focus on vehicle EE systems. Familiarity with Bus protocols, Diagnostics, and software update mechanisms is preferred.
- Understanding of vehicle homologation processes and UN ECE regulations is advantageous.
- Prior experience in ISO/SAE 21434 auditing is a plus.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity penetration testing (especially in the automotive sector).
- Two years of experience in software development, testing methodologies, or software update frameworks is preferred.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Occasional travel to client sites (up to 25%) may be required.
