Job Title: Scientist (Immunology)
A leading discovery stage biotechnology company is seeking a Scientist to assist in Immunology research and drug discovery. This dynamic team works to elucidate and model target biology through in vitro and ex vivo assays. This discovery stage biotech aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those suffering with fatal or debilitating illnesses.
Responsibilities:
- Experimental design, lab benchwork, and data interpretation
- Development of robust assays for screening therapeutic antibodies and generating IC50 and EC50 curves to rank top candidates
- Target-specific cell based binding and immune-relevant cell-based functional assays
- Mammalian and primary immune cell culture
- Utilizing relevant techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, multiplex platforms, and emerging technologies
- Testing different cells using flow-cytometers to screen for an immune response
Qualifications:
- Proficient with in vitro/ex vivo cell-based techniques (isolation of primary human immune cell subsets, mammalian cell culture, transfection of primary immune cells, development and optimization of cell-based functional assays, and multi-color flow cytometry, and ELISA)
- Proficient in developing assays for screening therapeutic antibodies and generating IC50 and EC50 curves to rank top candidates
- Experience developing and executing assays on Incucyte and running a Fortessa or Attune flow cytometer
- Proficient in FACSDiva, FlowJo, Prism, and Microsoft Office
- 2-3 years of relevant industry or academic experience
