Job Title: Medical Director - Education & Medical Affairs
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (Hybrid); Relocation assistance provided
Base Salary: $240,000-$270,000
Summary:
You'll lead a cross-functional Medical Affairs and Education team within a global, blue-chip medical device organization with a storied history and proven track record of positively impacting patient outcomes. Leading HCP communication initiatives for novel, life-saving cardiology treatments, you will be a senior leader on the company's Medical team and have ample inter-organizational visibility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies and oversee the production of digital product/data educational programs and training events oriented toward HCP audiences
- Partner with KOLS and medical societies for the enhancement of education initiatives
- Effectively and efficiently manage the allocation of resources within budget
- Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, clinical, regulatory, and other internal teams
- Manage a team (4-6 direct reports, 12-15 total), directing staff and ensuring their professional development through guidance, feedback, and goals setting
- Sit on the internal senior medical leadership council and oversee education and research grants committee
- Minimal travel as needed (no more than 10%)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 12+ years of relevant medical affairs experience; minimum 8 years of medical device experience
- Completion of MD, PharmD, PhD, MBBS, or equivalent doctoral degree
- Exceptional interpersonal communications skills
- Expertise in Cardiology
- Experience managing a team of direct and indirect reports
- Hybrid (3-4 days per week on-site)
