Role: Medical Information Specialist
Location: REMOTE, New Jersey / East Coast only
Length: 12-month contract w/ extension possibilities
My client is a global pharmaceutical company based in the East Coast, focusing in the therapeutic areas of oncology and neurology.
The main responsibility of a Medical Information Specialist is to ensure complete accuracy of advertising, promotional, and medical materials. In addition, the MIS will act as the lead on reviewing committees that support exchange and promotional materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a key role as a medical delegate on several committees, including CRC (Copy Review Committee) and PMRC (Product Medical Review Committee)
- Handle the review and approval of scientific exchange and promotional content
- Review and interpret clinical study data within the context of assigned materials
- Provide insight from a clinical perspective with assigned materials to patient or clinician
- Verify that scientific information on product labels is consistent
- Offer guidance on usage of medically credible references and content
- Facilitate literature searches as needed
- Collaborate with different teams, including the US Medical Information
- Support ad hoc medical info and communication projects
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Bioscience required (PharmD, PhD, or MD preferred)
- Previous therapeutic experience in Oncology
- Minimum of 1-3 years of pharmaceutical experience in medical information or relevant industry experience
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, collaboration, and medical writing skills
