A Biotech company is looking to hire a RA/SRA of Translational Sciences that would play key role in supporting project needs for Translational Research in an oncology small molecule development team. The RA/SRA will work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the generationof novel therapeutics for treatment of cancer.
The RA/SRA of Translational Sciences will have responsibilities that include:
- Perform experiments and analysis of datasets to identify pharmacodynamic, prognostic and predictive biomarkers
- Conducting cutting edge laboratory research and be able to analyze and critically interpret scientific data and present findings on regular basis
- Design research experiments with general supervision and work independently to execute experiments
- Analyze and interpret scientific results with general supervision
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
- BS or MS degree in cell/molecular biology or Oncology
- At least 1 year relevant hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred
- Expertise in mammalian tissue culture and cell-based assays to evaluate viability, protein production (western blot), gene expression analysis (qRT-PCR) and other functional/molecular biology assays
- Efficient time management and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and effectively communicate with multiple research teams
- Has the ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities and timelines
- Attention to detail and enthusiasm for integrating basic science learnings with drug discovery efforts
