This is the position for you if you are a cell biologist or immunologist with a background in oncology or microbiology with an interest in developing novel immune-based therapeutics for treating cancers and infectious diseases. You will be helping perform in vitro and ex vivo experiments using molecular and cellular immunoassays for preclinical drug development.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Isolating, growing, engineering, manipulating, and phenotypic characterizing or tumor, stromal, and primary immune cells (T cells, NK cells, and dendritic or other antigen-presenting cells)
- Cell-based assay development and evaluating molecular and cellular samples from in vitro and ex vivo studies using ELISA, PCR, qPCR, and Western Blot
- Using gentleMACS for murine organ necropsy dissociation and processing
- Occasionally representing company at scientific conferences and partnership meetings
You need to have:
- MS or PhD in Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience. Biotechnology drug discovery environment is the preferred industry experience.
- Significant experience in cell-based assay development experience including cell culture, cell lines, transfection/infection methodologies, viability/proliferation assays, surface staining and flow cytometry, cytokine assays (Mesoscale, Luminex, and/or CBA), and microscopy
- Flow cytometry experience using NovoCyte
- Significant experience preparing high-quality RNA
- Multi-tasking abilities to stay organized while working on multiple projects
