The Scientist of Cell Therapy will develop novel therapies for tumors and cancer using an immuno-oncology platform. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated scientist with strong laboratory skills who has worked with cell separation systems and immunology techniques such as Flowcytometry, ELISpot, ELISA, Tetramer analysis, cell culture/cell-based bioassays, microscopy, and others. The selected candidate will be able to apply statistical methods, data analysis tools, write technical reports, and present data in both internal and external meetings. The candidate will report to Associate Director, Cell Therapy Operations, and will focus on process development efforts.
Description:
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to support cell therapy process development.
- Lead activities to improve cell separation process development, characterize the process, and design a plan to regulate the process.
- Data on process development is recorded, critically analyzed, and technical reports are written.
- Contribute to group conversation by summarizing and presenting data at internal and external gatherings.
- Author and review SOPs, raw material specifications, technical reports
- Support the tech transfer process to CMOs/CDMOs
- Work independently or collaboratively as a team member within organizational structure to perform and troubleshoot experiments
- Establish the cell therapy product characterization, in-process lot release and stability panels.
Qualification:
- Understanding of immunology and cellular biology with application to development of cellular processing and analytical methods.
- Experience and competency with the following: multi-color flow cytometry, ELISpot, ELISA, cell culture/cell-based bioassays, microscopy, cell separation systems (e.g. Elutra, Rotea, Miltenyi). Prior experience developing potency and/or immunophenotyping test methods for cellular therapies.
- Experience working with human immune cells is preferable.
- Competency in the application of statistical methods and tools for data analysis.
