The Senior Director, Biopharma Business Development is a highly-visible leader in this rapidly growing Oncology biotech located in Palo Alto, working with partners to expand existing business and establish business relationships with new clients.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the Business Development process in the area of Solid Tumor Oncology
* Lead proposal development, term sheet generation, and negotiations
* Be the face of this small biotech to external partners
* Analyze potential opportunities and develop BD plans for each target account. Develop in-depth knowledge of the customer organization
* Create the Business Development strategy of a small biotech in the highly competitive solid tumor Oncology space
* Maintain high visibility within the customer organization. Monitor customer satisfaction by regular communication with the customer
* Handle follow-up related to the sale and drive completion of contractual documents
QUALITFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree preferably in business, life sciences, economics, another related field, or equivalent required. MBA or related advanced degree desired
* 8+ years of in-depth commercial, business development, product management, diagnostic marketing, in the oncology space
* Strong Oncology Pharma background required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Proven track record of effectively driving business development in Oncology
* Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities
* Adapt and be flexible to changing priorities
* Effective negotiation skills
* Willingness to travel up to 50%, both domestic and internationally, as required
* Passionate about oncology, small innovative biotech space, and personalized medicine
