R&D Senior Scientist Analytical Chemistry
Location: Tri-State Area
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 + Bonus + Excellent benefits + Relocation
A Globally renowned pharmaceutical company is looking to hire a Senior Scientist of Analytical Chemistry to join their R&D team. This is a growth hire due to recent funding and expansion plans. This person will report to the Manager of the team and work closely with industry-related colleagues.
An ideal candidate is someone that can be a subject matter expert for analytical techniques for all projects, internal and external. Any experience with extractables and leachable is a big plus. Additionally, as the senior scientist, you will also be a leader in the field, mentoring junior staff and training company peers.
Responsibilities:
* Be the (SME) Subject Matter Expert on analytical methods and techniques
* Have a good understanding of (E&L) Extractables and leachables to create strategy
* Operate analytical tools such as HPLC, UPLC, UV, GC, XRPD, DVS, IR, LC-MS, Karl-Fisher, Particle size Analyzer, and the Rheometer
* Deal with external vendors for related material and configure its suitability to related projects
* Act as the point of contact when working with CDMO or CRO organizations for projects
Requirements:
* PH.D. in Chemistry related field
* Strong level of understanding of analytical methods, analytical techniques, and analytical tools
* Experience with Extractables and Leachables
* Detail oriented individual with strong negotiating skills.
* Positive, energetic attitude and initiative with strong work ethic. Proactive and self- motivated to find and take on new projects that support team goals.
* A keen attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
