Phaidon International's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Report Examines the Perceptions of DE&I in the Life Sciences Industry.โ€‹

As an award-winning life sciences talent partner under the Phaidon International brand, clients often ask us how to improve Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) in their workplace so they can attract, hire, and retain top talent with diverse experiences and viewpoints.โ€ฏ

To provide data-backed insights, we have surveyed both employees and employers from our database to understand their perspectives on company culture, discrimination, development opportunities, and DE&I training and resources at their workplace to uncover trends, disparities, and areas in need of improvement.

The results can be found in Phaidon International's DE&I report, which explores overall trends across their six specialist brands, plus a breakdown of results for EPM Scientific, delving into DE&I in the life sciences industry.

Findings from these surveys include:

48%

30%

of life sciences employees in executive / director-level positions felt that their current employer promoted a culture of inclusivity and respect for DE&I, compared to 25% of entry-level respondents.

of female life sciences employees wanted to see more management training around age, but only 19% of male respondents felt the same.

Discover the full views of both employers and employees in life sciences and uncover new areas of focus for your DE&I strategy, helping you to improve hiring, retention, and DE&I policies based on your goals, resources, and the needs of your employees.

Zenab Nessa, Vice President at EPM Scientific London, explains how companies are trying to do more to attract professionals to their workplace as the life sciences talent pool becomes more diverse:

โ€œOur clients are often looking for very specific technical skills and experience, along with the right personality and drive, so finding the best person for the job is always the number one priority. That being said, we are seeing more and more clients trying to improve their diversity and inclusion policies, and wanting to position themselves as diverse employer to appeal to a larger pool of candidates. The talent pool itself is also becoming a lot more diverse and balanced than it was a few years ago.โ€
