My client is a global biotechnology company that focuses on developing therapies for metabolic diseases. They are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Director to join their team in China. As part of their continued growth strategy, they require someone with extensive knowledge within this field who can drive business development initiatives across multiple locations including Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop business plans that support overall strategic objectives
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders such as investors or partners
- Identify new licensing opportunities through market research analysis
- Manage cross-functional teams effectively while coordinating efforts towards achieving company goals
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience working in business development
- Bachelor's degree preferably with specialization or relevant coursework related to Life Sciences
- Demonstrated success developing partnerships/licensing agreements resulting from strong negotiation skills.
- Knowledge on how regulatory requirements affect commercialization strategies is mandatory
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills along with proven ability identifying emerging trends & competitive landscape shifts affecting industry dynamics
