Job description, powers and responsibilities:
Expertise is key to this role, and the professional in question is to be constantly up-to-date on the latest regulatory standards and requirements.
This will be provided internally as well as externally, and through the professional's own familiarity with the latest information and journal articles
Scientific challenge: crucial for this role is to challenge any relevant pre-clinical and clinical data from prior clinical evaluations/investigations
Making suggestions and recommendations to the decision maker of the notified body
Performing assessments of documents of medical devices and clinical evaluation reports - this can include active implantable medical devices
Strong project management, including coordinating numerous projects, answering clients, selling clinical services, and so forth
Strong communication and service-oriented work, including internal and external stakeholders, providing information regarding regulatory and technical requirements
Formulate reports of conformity assessment activities
Experience as a surgeon working with Class II or above devices, or with implants, lasers, complex surgeries
Degree in medicine
Good project management skills
Good communication skills
Home-office, stable 9 to 5 job
