QC Manager- Animal Health

A small Animal Health CDMO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control operations, with a focus on stability testing, raw material testing, GMP compliance, and managing the QC team. The Quality Control Manager will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet regulatory requirements and maintain the highest standards of quality.
The QC Manager will have the following responsibilities...
- Develop and implement quality control strategies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Manage and oversee stability testing programs to assess the shelf-life and stability of products.
- Coordinate and perform raw material testing to ensure the quality and integrity of materials used in production.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulations.
- Lead and manage the QC team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Oversee Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Conduct HPLC analysis and other analytical testing as required.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and R&D, to support product development and production processes.
- Participate in regulatory inspections and audits, and ensure timely resolution of any findings or observations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of quality control operations.
The QC Manager should have the following qualifications...
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of stability testing, raw material testing, and analytical techniques, including HPLC.
- Thorough understanding of GMP regulations and quality systems.
- Prior experience managing a QC team is highly desirable.
