A leading clinical-stage Biopharmaceutical company, who is focused on the development of genomic medicines and treatments aimed to address the needs of people with life-limiting conditions, is looking to bring on new talent to assist its needs in Vector Production. The Vector Production and Development Group is looking for a Research Associate I/II who will be responsible for the all-encompassing production, purification, and analysis of its Viral Vectors.
Responsibilities
- Produce Viral Vectors using Mammalian Tissue Culture Cells
- Purify Viral Vectors utilizing techniques such as Ultracentrifugation or Column Chromatography
- Analyze Viral Vectors utilizing techniques such as qPCR or Gels
- Transfection or infection of cell lines to produce Adeno-Associated Virus
- Maintain Production and Inventory databases as needed
Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in Biology, Virology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- 2+ years of In-Lab experience in an Academic Research or Biotech Company setting
- Hands-on experience with Mammalian Tissue Culture
- Hands-on experience with Viral Production and Purification
- Ability to maintain organized databases in Excel and Access
- Ability to prepare and follow SOPs
This is an on-site opportunity that will start on a 6-month contract with extension possibilities
