Through an exclusive distribution network, it exports to more than 80 nations, and it has local sales and service branches all over the world. The organisation, which already well established in Germany, is looking for a Technical Application Manager to bolster its sales team.
The Technical Application Specialist - Ophthalmology acts as a qualified advisor for surgeons, showcasing the business's products in the operating room and carrying out standard technical upkeep on all products.
In order to accomplish both personal and organisational objectives, the chosen applicant should have confidence, the capacity to operate both independently and collaboratively, and a strong work ethic.While knowledge of ophthalmology is advantageous, candidates who have succeeded in other surgical disciplines can receive extensive training from the company.
Responsibilities:
Installation, upkeep, calibration, and testing of surgical equipment on-site
Presenting the tools and their uses to medical professionals and employees
Providing technical assistance, on-site maintenance, and first-line repair for all equipment
Educating new customers on how to use the company's products
providing the regional sales manager with installation, demonstration, and training outcomes notifying the regional sales manager of prospective sales opportunitiesNotifying the commercial team of complaints, competitor activities, and KOL identification
Reporting to the regional sales manager the opinions of key opinion leaders and organising field trips.
Preparing and sustaining equipment for OPTrials
utilising resources to market and present new items to clients, both current and potentialTaking part, if necessary, in events at trade shows
Taking part in company meetings and training events
Staying up to date with new instruments and disposables
- Keeping up to date with new surgical techniques
Qualifications, Training, and Expertise:
- Degree in technical studies, ideally in biomedical engineering
- 3 to 5 years of practical experience and training in mechanical and technological fields
- Must be capable of working independently, self-assured, and good with people.
- Service-oriented
- Outstanding coordination and planning abilities
- Outstanding English and German verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent presentation and teaching abilities
