Company Overview: A leading global Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) with global presence is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Central Lab Scientist to join their dynamic Clinical Laboratory team. As a Central Lab Scientist, you will play a crucial role in supporting accurate and timely diagnostic testing, contributing to the improvement of patient outcomes and overall healthcare excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical laboratory tests and procedures using advanced instrumentation and methodologies, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct sample processing, including specimen collection, preparation, and handling, while maintaining the integrity of specimens and ensuring proper identification.
- Analyze and interpret test results, verifying accuracy and reliability before reporting findings to the healthcare team.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and notifying the Laboratory Manager of any issues.
- Participate in the validation and implementation of new laboratory tests, methodologies, and equipment.
- Adhere to quality control procedures, proficiency testing, and proficiency surveys to ensure accuracy and precision of test results.
- Follow laboratory safety protocols, including the handling and disposal of hazardous materials and biohazardous waste.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders.
- Keep accurate records of all tests performed and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
- PhD in Immunology and Clinical Chemistry
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and best practices.
- Proficiency in interpreting test results and identifying potential issues or inconsistencies.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and healthcare professionals.
