SUMMARY
A prestigious, global pharmaceuticals company in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Director of Process Development to lead a team specializing with Upstream Process Development capabilities. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful progression of drug products focusing on late-stage development to commercial production. You will possess a proven track record of people management and strategic thinking to drive the pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
A Director - Process Development will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership to the Upstream Process Development team specializing in mammalian cell culture for different biologics
- Setting clear goals, objectives, and performance expectations for team members
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Downstream, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Development to ensure timely and successful project management
- Actively participating in regulatory submissions, including NDAs and/or BLAs
- Identifying and implementing novel approaches and technologies to enhance process development efficiences
- Providing technical leadership to staff with focus on problem solving and teamwork
A Director - Process Development has the following qualifications:
- Master's Degree with 12+ years of industry experience, OR Ph.D. with 8+ years of industry experience
- 4+ years of industry experience leading teams of direct reports
- Strong experience with using mammalian cell culture processes for biologics
