JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Supervisor oversees all assigned production areas, ensuring that departmental employees meet safety, quality, on-time performance, quantity, and housekeeping standards. This role involves supervising production activities and managing personnel to achieve departmental goals.

JOB DUTIES
- Headcount and Training Management:
- Manage headcount and facilitate cross-functional training to meet quality and on-time performance standards.
- Mentoring and Training:
- Mentor and train personnel in required tools, techniques, and skills.
- Develop and coach Production Leads.
- Supervision:
- Supervise and provide work direction to personnel and operations on all shifts within assigned departments.
- Recruitment and Performance Management:
- Recruit, retain, manage, and evaluate subordinate personnel.
- Address disciplinary issues promptly with support from the Manufacturing Manager and Human Resources.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement and lean activities.
- Production Monitoring:
- Ensure compliance with quoted processes and achievement of production rates.
- Coordinate changes with Engineering as needed.
- Process Knowledge:
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all company processes and equipment.
- Stay updated on industry manufacturing techniques and recommend feasible implementations.
- Data Review:
- Review CRP reports, labor efficiency reports, quality, and cycle time data for accuracy.
- Chemical Compliance:
- Ensure chemicals used in manufacturing comply with legal requirements.
- Workflow Organization:
- Organize work for efficient operations.
- Assist in implementing new processes and equipment.
- Communication:
- Keep the Manufacturing Manager and Production Planning informed of progress and report unique problems with recommendations.
- Safety and Housekeeping:
- Ensure employee safety, equipment maintenance, and housekeeping in assigned departments.
- Policy Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Morale Maintenance:
- Maintain positive morale within the departments.
- Strategic Support:
- Support activities related to strategic objectives, continuous improvement, and cost reduction.
- Goal Setting:
- Set improvement goals for the Production Department.
- Interdepartmental Communication:
- Communicate effectively with other departments, supervisors, and managers.
- Budget Input:
- Provide input for yearly budgets for equipment, personnel, education, and labor hours.
- Maintain costs according to approved plans.
- Training Compliance:
- Ensure required training for the Supervisor role meets deadlines.
- Travel:
- Travel as necessary for job-related situations as determined by the General Manager or Manufacturing Manager.
- Standards Compliance:
- Ensure all job duties meet ISO, AS9100, and NADCAP requirements and instructions.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent, with additional college-level courses in management desirable.
- Experience:
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in previous roles, preferably as a Production Lead or Supervisor.
- Experience in process implementation and procedure generation required.
- Skills:
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding or formal training in scheduling.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle various tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
